Background

Nikwax is a long-established UK outdoor brand, manufacturing sustainable aftercare and waterproofing products in East Sussex since 1977. With strong brand values and a global reputation, protecting brand consistency and long-term positioning on Amazon was critical as they expanded their direct presence on the platform.

The Challenge

Nikwax joined Amazon later than many third-party resellers, which left their catalogue fragmented and uncontrolled. Duplicate listings, incorrect brand attribution, non-compliant imagery, and inconsistent data damaged brand presentation and limited growth. The challenge was to increase Amazon sales while maintaining pricing discipline, brand integrity, and alignment with wider marketing activity.

Actions Taken

We took control of the catalogue by consolidating duplicate ASINs, correcting brand and attribute errors, and restructuring listings for clarity and conversion. This included resolving complex variation issues, fixing category and review mismatches, updating imagery to meet UK compliance, and rebuilding titles and bullet points using keyword-led optimisation. Alongside this, we implemented a hybrid Vendor and Seller model, launched well-controlled PPC campaigns, supported Brand Store and A+ Content development, and introduced external traffic activity to support ranking and visibility.
